Health Education and Promotion

Our Health Promotion department is dedicated to promoting health and preventing disease and injury in our community.  Our Health Educators work with many community partners* to increase awareness and knowledge about health risks in order to promote behavior change and well as changes in policies and the environment that will encourage local citizens to make healthier lifestyle choices.  Topics with a special focus include: Eating Smart, Moving More, and Tobacco Prevention and Cessation.

Health Educators also provide technical assistance and coordinate programs to help others create healthy environments, standards, and policies.  If you are interested in assistance or learning about how to form a healthier environment wherever you live, learn, earn, play, or pray contact us at 336-651-7450.
